ملخص: The results of contamination tests performed in a fig chamber at 50 KV are reported.Data are presented on the flashover voltage of a single unit insolator the laboratory data are suupplemented by the field results for an artificially contaminated insulator exposed to natural wetting conditions.Parameters for futur consideration and design of insulators using this approach are given.Experimental data parametrs, which effect the flashover voltages of contamined insulation surface in fog conditions, have been reported.performance of contaminated insulators was investigated assuming that the working voltage stress was as high as the designed value.Several factors are found to influence the flashover characteristics, such as the method of voltage application, the duration of high voltage tests, and the method of contamination.
