Physical and mathematical modelling of zinc removal and transport in peat

ملخص: In this study an experimental investigatio was undertaken in order to assess the different mechanisms which are responsible for the removal of zinc.The batch experiment studies confirm the effectiveness of peat as a treatment medium and showed that at acid to neutral pHs, the removal mechanisms are mainly adsorption and to a lesser extent ion-exchange.Zinc adsorption was found to follow the langmuir model.
